What is it you do?

So the trend goes - slamming busy in August and September, slow as molasses in January and February. I have to say yes to nearly every job that comes through the studio at this time of the year in order to make up for the slow times at the beginning of the year. Mostly of the film and video variety currently, with one logo and branding projects to keep us honest. Consequently, we're pretty tired here on the factory floor, made even more tired by trying to train for cyclocross season (first race is this Sunday here in Fort Collins - Cross of the North). Nonetheless, we are forever thankful for the work we do have, and love what we do. We hope it shows too. This blog is kind of a placeholder as we get through this current stretch of projects and embark on branding the new media company here in Fort Collins. The name is currently a secret, as our a few of our projects. Rest assured - we'll still be producing creative content. Fort Collins Video Design

It's official, the family and the business are now based in Fort Collins. Once upon a time before I met my wife, she was a veterinary student here at CSU, where she bought the home we live in now. Fast forward 5 years, two states and 4 cities later, and we're finally settling in to raise our girls in this awesome little neck of the woods in Colorado.

So what about Fort Collins Video Design? I've yet to officially name the dba I'll be working under, but for now, I'm running with Fort Collins Video Design because I had tremendous success using the similarly named Boulder Video Design for three years with regards to SEO and marketing. I have two technical degrees, each ten years apart from each other, to give me twenty years of experience in graphic design and art direction, and ten years of experience in video and film production. I've been an Art Director for magazines and snowboard companies, and more recently I've been a cameraman for adventure/travel television. Today, I work on all sorts of projects, many of which are related to the booming craft beer industry here in Colorado and nationally. Welcome to Fort Collins Video Production!

Hi! My name is Eric Keeney. I'm a veteran video producer and graphic designer who is in the process of moving my business, and my family, to Fort Collins, Colorado. For the last three years, I've been doing business as Boulder Video Design in Boulder, Colorado. We provide videography and cinematography, pre-production tasks such as script-writing, story-boarding, and budgeting as well as post-production work in a Final Cut Pro digital workflow. My graphic design background means that we can also add that extra touch to edits with professional on-screen graphics and motion and info graphics. In addition - we still work on traditional design projects from identity and branding for new companies, to catalog, magazine and other print design. We also provide front end design work for the web.
